I just really like books about people who get along, okay? I’m about halfway through this one, and the main cast just...genuinely likes each other, and is so supportive and helpful to each other. Also I enjoy that there is plenty of action and tension and drama without constantly killing off main characters (here I am looking at you, Embers of War, with your disturbingly high body count). And ancient alien tech! I am a big fan of ancient alien tech 😄
