Rubicon » "THE TENSION"

Some very kind words on Rubicon from @robin_she_writes! Thanks so much for reading!! 🥰🙌🚀💫

Robin fact: when I'm drafting I can't read my own genre(s). It turns into a horrible game of comparing my early attempt at a story to someone's finished work, and that's... Not productive. So! I read a lot of mystery and sci-fi/space opera.

I love @jsdewes Divide books, and RUBICON, the first entry in the Crucible Cycle series, is somehow even better. The characters have so much depth, the world building is spot on, and THE TENSION😬😬😵🤯☠️. When I say I would do almost anything to read the next one immediately...

Cover copy:

Sergeant Adrienne Valero wants to die. She can't.

After enduring a traumatic resurrection for the ninety-sixth time, Valero is reassigned to a special forces unit and outfitted with a cutting-edge virtual intelligence aid. They could turn the tide in the war against intelligent machines dedicated to the assimilation, or destruction, of humanity.

When her VI suddenly achieves sentience, Valero is drawn into the machinations of an enigmatic major who’s hell-bent on ending the war—by any means necessary.

If you're looking for a story that's going to stick you to your seat, pick this up.
