🚀 It’s the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing! 👩🚀🌙 I’ll be celebrating by spending all my free time drafting the sequel to my science fiction debut ✨😅 Which would not exist if it weren’t for the space program! My passion for all things outer space stems from my father’s childhood fascination with the Space Race (he’s the addressee of that letter!), as well as my mother who worked for Collins Aerospace (formerly Rockwell Collins) for 35 years (i.e. my entire childhood and then some! ☺️) How are you celebrating?? 🚀👩🚀🌙✨ Google’s doodle today is pretty awesome, if you haven’t checked it out already! (Michael Collins narrates!) And if you haven’t seen First Man, it’s a really interesting interpretation of the events (focused heavily on Armstrong). Dramatized, as to be expected, but in ways that feel genuine and strengthen the emotional themes.
