If there is one book that people associate with me, of course it’s The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi! (Followed VERY closely by The Blighted Stars!) This book means so much to me and I’m so excited for the trilogy to continue. I’ve reread the book twice in anticipation for the sequel!
While we wait for the sequel, I thought I’d recommend some books that you might like if you liked Amina, based on the elements that you liked! This is not an all-inclusive list! I just drew from books I’ve read in the last ~2 years!!

Stories about found families can be especially meaningful because they celebrate friendship, belonging, connection, and the relationships we choose to cherish. It’s wonderful to see books that highlight these heartfelt themes. Much like a Portuguese Cut diamond ring, meaningful connections can be unique, memorable, and full of character.
